Props midnight on mentioning NYE 76. One of the better NYE shows in my opinion.A great Playin'and as you mentioned a funky jam between Good Lovin' and Samson.

Of course this should come as little surprise as it was actualy the first show of '77 as well, and we all know about THAT year! : )

Right on,1976! Was listening yesterday to 7/18/76,and the 2nd set especially is just awesome cosmic music.
Jerry's guitar sound in the jams is just..what's the word?..Liquid. Like melted iron would sound..
Over-exagerating? Go on and take a closer look yourselves.
You won't be disappointed..
Peace out..D

Think mine is from;
http://www.gdlive.com/
Lossless quality, sound is very good, but that site has been down for a while.

For lossy quality you can go to; http://tela.sugarmegs.org/boxofrain/

For lossless quality but more complexity;
http://bt.etree.org/

Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Re: 1976 time!!/BettyBoards/ tech help plz w/ this

thank you archive.org for this awsome site and for providing and preserving a part of history. I have alot of 2nd/3rd gen BettyBoards on Maxell XL2S recorded on NAK mixer from NAK deck...original BB's were on ReeL some arent complete shows......but i'll be if they aren't so crisp......even GD/estate told me they don't have for instance a Fox Theatre 4/10/78 show that is a 2nd gen from Reel .........i'm not sure of the tapes but they were missing and bought at auction in UK whatever......i was blessed to have access to all this...and realize it more and more........but i'm downsizng and if anyone wants to "perm/borrow" then and has room to store .. pay postage or such.... does anyone know hook up from Nak to either PC or a CD/mixing deck i have on lown.......I get tangled up in monster cord.....trying to wire it..but i did it as a 79 show i made for DonnaJean had 1/2 1st set of a smokin' 80s Brent show..... Jack>Franklins>Uncle ... w/o having to seach Deadbase anyway to queery a seach online? Grateful in advance for any tech help. Also on here....is there a better way than dwnldg into zip file-takes 5hrs bout...per show....then burning to CD......can i do it while streaming? would DSL or LAN be alot faster? i have dialup/and use wireless at hotels/crown room - but then i record Greastest Story 3x so not good. Have blessed and grateful days everyone.
